The Volusia County Sheirff’s Office is searching for a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a man earlier this month on Howland Bouolevard near Interstate 4.
Wade Holcombe, 31, of Deltona, is recovering at Halifax Health Medical Center where he was air-lifted following the Nov. 9 accident, Volusia County Sheriff’s spokesman Gary Davidson said. He suffered head, leg and elbow injuries when he was hit while walking along Howland. Investigators have little to go on, but are hoping someone will come forward withinformation.
A passing motorist called the Sheriff’s Office about 2:40 a.m. that day and said the man was on the ground and appeared to be sleeping. When deputies arrived they determined he had been hit by a vehicle. Holcombe was in stable condition this morning and was able to talk to deputies, but remembered little about the incident, Davidson said.
